piece and a RFAL computer
device. The surgeon
inputs the energy to be
delivered to the the fat in
watts, the limit of skin
temperature in degrees, and
high and low limits of
impedance on a user-friendly
touch screen.
Excessive heating of fat
and/or dermis is avoided
since all parameters are
controlled in a closed loop
system. In this
procedure, the access
incisions are only about 3mm
which is the diameter of the
internal probe which
delivers the energy. A
power-assisted liposuction
devices is utilized to
aspirate the liquefied fat.
